Privacy Policy
Plain English about what MyGreenSignal collects and why. Written to match how the site actually works.
The short version
You can browse without an account. Preferences like Area and favorites stay in your browser. We use analytics to understand how the site is used. If you send feedback or email, we keep what you submit so we can respond. We don’t sell personal data.
What stays on your device
MyGreenSignal stores first-party preferences such as:
- Area mode (statewide, nearby, specific stores, favorites)
- Favorite and hidden dispensaries
- Age / legal access gate acceptance (about 30 days)
- Optional theme preference (After Dark)
- Other small UI settings needed to run the site
Those live in cookies and/or browser storage so your choices survive a refresh. Clear site data in your browser anytime if you want a clean slate.
If you turn on nearby mode and allow location access, your browser may keep coordinates you provided for radius search. That precise location is for your device’s use of the site — it is not written into the MyGreenSignal analytics event database.
Analytics
We use first-party analytics for product events — searches, filters, product and deal clicks, compare opens, dispensary browse / website / directions, Area changes, feedback, and similar interactions. Events may include an anonymous session id and coarse context such as area mode or a place label. Precise GPS coordinates are stripped from analytics metadata before storage.
We also use Vercel Analytics for high-level page traffic and performance.
Hosting and analytics providers can see ordinary technical details: IP address, browser or device information, and request metadata. We don’t claim the site has zero tracking. Measurement is meant to stay lightweight and product-focused.
AI-assisted search
Some natural-language searches may be sent through Vercel AI Gateway to a model provider so we can turn your words into filters (category, price, size, and similar). Simple keyword searches often stay local and never hit a model. When a model is used, the text of that search request is processed by the gateway / model provider under their terms. We don’t use AI search to invent inventory or medical advice.
Contact and feedback
Feedback forms store what you voluntarily submit: message text, optional email, and any page or listing context attached to the report. We use that to fix data and improve the product.
The contact page email form opens your mail app. It does not, by itself, store the message body on our servers. Admin tools used to operate the site are separate from public browsing and are not offered as consumer accounts.
When you leave for a dispensary
Clicking through to a product, menu, deal, website, or directions takes you to another company’s site or app. From that point, their privacy practices apply — not ours.
Infrastructure
The site runs on modern hosting and CDN infrastructure. Those providers process standard request logs and security signals. That’s normal for keeping a public website online.
Retention
Browser preferences last until you clear them (or until an age-gate cookie expires). Analytics and feedback records are kept as needed to operate and improve the product, then discarded or aggregated over time as part of ordinary maintenance. We don’t publish a separate consumer account profile because we don’t require one.

- Use the age gate as a marketing trap — acceptance unlocks the site for about 30 days
